The Way of the Light
The idea of TWOTL started with me as a movie script. I saw it as a great piece for a young Sundance Film Festival type filmmaker to embrace and bring to life. But as I completed the script, I liked the action, but the script couldn’t translate the characters as I saw them. Without the realization of the vivid characters, TWOTL could be a weak story. So, I thought a book would be a better vehicle to fully realize the story I had in mind. Friends who have read TWOTL are often surprised that I was the author. They found it hard to believe that a person who could create such wholesome family material could also effectively produced a book like TWOTL. My response to that—during my life I have witnessed the good and the bad, joys and sorry, life and death. There are times while I’m writing when only the uplifting witty side of me is in control. Then there are times in which the person who has encountered many ugly things in life is at the keyboard. Nevertheless, both sides of me love good pacing and respect to the reader. Yes, TWOLT is, at points, a dark story, however, I think you’ll find it a very entertaining tale also.
