I got up shakily and looked around for Dan and Ally. They were just a few feet away and appeared to be going through the same sensations I had just experienced. I looked at my arms and legs—I really was sixteen again! I was wearing the same clothes, the same sneakers as I had thirty-three years ago when we were abducted.
Now, to find the black rock!
The Black Rock Mystery

Ah, this book was the direct result of my young neighbor, Brandon Napoleon, who really loved my earlier work The FIREDRAKE. He kept pushing me into writing another children’s book. But this time he suggested it be a mystery.
So the ‘Black Rock’ is a mystery.
It’s also a story that has a little bit of everything else in it—drama, humor, adventure, even science fiction. In many ways ‘Black Rock’ is a reflection of young Brandon—bold, clever, generous, mischievous, and a bit of a mystery. I love “Brando” he often brings excitement and laughter into my rather sedate world. His lively, mischievous spirit rings throughout The Black Rock Mystery.
